What is tallow?

Tallow carries many nutrients + vitamins that help improve overall skin + cell health. Beef tallow in particular is so similar to our skins sebum (oils that moisturize + protect the skin), saturated fats + vitamins, it actually activates a cellular response in the human skin. 

Tallow is made by rendering suet (the hard, white fat around the kidneys of an animal). Our tallow is sourced from family farms that raise organic, pasture-raised, grass-fed + finished beef.

Tallow is great as an everyday moisturizer, while especially helpful for those that deal with dry, irritated skin. Tallow is safe + soothing for all skin types, babies, diaper rash, sunburns, full body + face, eczema flare ups, psoriasis, etc.

Our Story

Amanda has always had a unique appreciation for simple, clean ingredients. During a health flare up in 2015, she found herself leaning into clean, whole ingredients to help nourish + heal her body. Through this physical, practical need meeting something she was passionate about, she founded WholeMaker Co. Her minimalistic approach, love for nature + pure ingredients are found in each product. 

Everything is handmade in small batches in the Sacramento, CA area. WholeMaker is looking into ways to work with + support local farms in their community, finding those key ingredients + letting inspiration take over.

Our goal at WholeMaker Co. is to help support + inspire your journey to whole health. Whether it’s buying non-toxic beauty products, clean foods, investing in quality items that will last you longer than the normal—we're here to cheer you on!
