What is tallow?

Tallow carries many nutrients + vitamins that help improve overall skin + cell health by using it as a moisturizer. Beef tallow in particular is so similar to our skins sebum (oils that moisturize + protect the skin), saturated fats + vitamins, it actually activates a cellular response in the human skin.  

Tallow is made by rendering suet (the hard, white fat around the kidneys of an animal). Our tallow is sourced from family farms that have organic, pasture-raised, grass-fed + finished beef.

What is tallow good for? 

Tallow is great as an everyday moisturizer, while especially helpful for those that deal with dry, irritated skin. Tallow is safe + soothing for all skin types, babies, diaper rash, sunburns, full body + face, eczema flare ups, psoriasis, etc.  

Using tallow on the skin isn't a new idea—generations past would use it for their skin health, and would also use it as an oil to cook with, make soaps with + even make candles.

How soon can I expect my order? 

We strive to fulfill and ship orders within 3 days of purchase. Because we're such a small team, that can vary slightly, so don't hesitate to email with any questions. 

What's your return policy? 

If you're not happy with your order, we'd love to make it right! Email us at wholemakerco@gmail.com and we'll send you a refund, a re-shipment, or help you troubleshoot. Grateful for your support! 

Are your products baby safe? 

All our products use natural, gentle ingredients. We’ve formulated baby specific products with a lower essential oil dilution ratio to make it baby safe. For any hesitations or products outside our baby line, we recommend consulting with your child’s healthcare provider.

Does my product have an expiration date?  

All our products if kept in a cool, dry location have a shelf life for 6+ months. Often our products can be good up to a year (even tallow), but we believe have the best influence for our skin in that first 6 months. Our Deodorant, After Sun Mask and Rose Petal Mask are the exception we believe is best in that first 3+ months. 

I was notified my order was delivered, but I haven’t received it. 

Typically the package shows up in the mailbox within 24-48 hours even after they said it should be delivered. We know that’s frustrating, but hang in there! Check with your neighbors, but most often it’s just a miss-scan by the delivery driver. If you still haven’t received it in 4 days, please let us know and we'll make sure it gets into your hands!

Do you offer local pickup? 

Yes! Select “local pick up” as your delivery option at checkout. Orders will usually be ready in 48 hours give or take. You'll receive an email when it is ready, but you're welcome to check in with us at wholemakerco@gmail.com if you're in the area or need it asap and we'll see if we can accommodate. 

I need to cancel my order or adjust my address.
